Questions I’m Often Asked
I want you to feel completely comfortable with how I work. Here are some answers to the things families ask me most.
About My Visits
What is a visit like?
Each visit is calm, friendly, and tailored to your pace. We’ll choose a focus for the day (companionship, organizing/decluttering, or downsizing), and proceed with purpose.
Where do I visit?
I am happy to visit in private homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes.
Do I bring activities?
I can bring cards, a book, or simple crafts, but I mostly leave space for what feels right in the moment. Sometimes the best activity is simply a warm, attentive conversation and a cup of tea.
Pricing & Scheduling
How do I charge?
I charge per visit.
How does payment work?
Payment is due the day of service. I accept cash, card, and Venmo.
What are your rates?
$40/hour
When should we schedule?
I appreciate scheduling a week or two in advance. This helps me manage my calendar so I can give my full presence and focus to every visit.
How do I maintain safety during our time together?
I treat your home and your loved one with the highest level of care. I stay mindful of my environment, follow all established household safety rules, and maintain a calm, attentive presence throughout every visit.
How do I stay in touch with the families?
Transparency is vital to me. After our visits, I typically send a quick update or check-in note to the family, sharing a few highlights of what we did and ensuring you feel connected to your loved one’s day.
What are my hygiene and health practices?
I follow simple, consistent health protocols, including regular hand hygiene and staying home if I feel unwell. I am personally committed to protecting the health of the seniors I visit.
How do I handle emergency information?
Before our first visit, I ask for a list of emergency contacts and preferred medical providers. This ensures I can act quickly, calmly, and effectively if any unexpected need arises.
